I arrived Athens upon midnight. Mirto went to the airport to pick me up. We went back to her lovely little house together and chatted until late in the morning.
We got up around noon. She opened the window to let the sun came in. I looked out in the garden and found a huge palm tree sitting firmly at the corner of the garden. When I went to the city center, I found that Athens is probably so far the city with most palm trees. I just need to raise my head and there’re more than dozen of them to be counted. They come in various shapes and sizes. For me, it’s the most suitable image of Athens summer.
